Installation.
(1) If removed, install recoil starter assembly, refer to paragraph 4.54.c.
(2) Install seal (Figure 4-55) and cooling fan cover on engine with rubber retainers,
couplings, washers, and capscrews.
(3) Install air cleaner cover, refer to paragraph 4.12.2.c.
RECOIL STARTER ASSEMBLY.
a.
Inspection.
(1) Shut down generator set.
(2) Inspect recoil starter assembly for security, cracked housing, corrosion, frayed
rope, obstructions, and other damage.
