Test for defective

START/PREHEAT/OFF/START switch
refer to paragraph 4.37
(S2) refer to paragraph 4.35.b
Replace defective START-
Test for defective air intake
PREHEAT/PREHEAT/0FF/START
heaters (HTR1 or HTR2).
switch (S2)
Disconnect two wires and
refer to paragraph 4.35
Not OK
check for continuity at two
terminals. If open - one or
both heaters are bad
or jumper is missing.
Refer to paragraph 4.51
Replace air intake heater(s)
(HTR1 or HTR2),
refer to paragraph 4.51
