5-4. Marking. (See figure 5-2.) The power unit four-digit registration number, preceded by the prefix “VA” and
the words “U.S. ARMY”, is marked in three places on each power unit trailer. Marking is done in accordance with
MIL-STD-642. On the fender, over each wheel, “T.P. 35 PSI” is marked in 1.00 ±.12 inch high characters in
accordance with MIL-STD-130. Figure 5-2 shows the approximate location of markings on one power unit of the
power plant. Markings are typical of both power units. If required, touch-up painting of the base color shall be
done in acordance with MIL-T-704 and MIL-C-46168.

Section III. GENERATOR SET
Generator Set Replacement. (See figures 5-3 and 5-4).
Removal.
(1) Disconnect ground wire (1, figure 5-3) from generator set (2) to GROUND TERMINAL stud (3) on trailer.
