WARNING
Keep hands and feet from under side of engine while using lifting device to remove
the engine from the generator. Failure to observe this warning could result in serious
personal injury and/or death.

With aid of an assistant, slowly lift engine assembly from skid base, ensuring that engine flywheel
housing separates smoothly from generator without binding. Remove engine from generator set
housing and place on engine stand.
bd. Remove nuts (11, FIGURE 3-1) lockwashers (12) bolts (13) and shock mounts (14) from skid
base.

Remove bolts (16) lockwashers (17) washers (18) and mount brackets (5) from engine block.
bf.
Remove bolt (41) lockwashers (42) and front engine lifting bracket (43) from engine assembly.
bg.
Remove bolt (44), lockwasher (45), and rear engine lifting bracket (40) from engine assembly.
bh.
Remove bolts (19) lockwashers (20) washers (21) and rear engine support brackets (22) from
engine assembly.

Installation.
a.
Install rear engine support brackets (22, FIGURE 3-1) on engine assembly with bolts (19),
lockwashers (20) and washers (21).
b.
Install rear engine lifting bracket (40) on engine assembly with bolt (44), and lockwasher (45).
c.
Install front engine lifting bracket (43) on engine assembly with bolts (41) and lockwashers (42).
d.
Install mount brackets (5) on engine block with bolts (16), lockwashers (17), and washers (18).
e.
Install shock mounts (14) on skid base with bolts (13), lockwashers (12) and nuts (11).
