Remove anchor bolt (11) securing seat belt assembly (12) to vehicle body and remove seat belt assembly.
WARNING
Always wear eye protection when drilling. Eye injury may result if metal chips get into eyes.
Use a brush when cleaning up metal chips to avoid injury to hands.

Measure 1-3/8 inches from left outer edge of battery box (3) and scribe a vertical line. Measure up from bottom
edge of battery box (3) 5-1/2 inches on scribed line and scribe a short horizontal line. Drill a pilot hole where the
lines cross. Enlarge hole to 1-1/8 inches.

Using grommet (13) as a template, locate, mark, and drill two 3/16-inch holes (14) around 1-1/8-inch hole in battery box
as shown.
