2.
REMOVE CONNECTOR PARTS.
a.
Use the proper pin extractor
tool (Tables 5-2 and 5-3) and
remove pins (7) from support
group (6).
b.
Cut cable wires as close to
pins as possible.
NOTE
Record the order and
direction of connector
parts as they are
removed.
c.
Remove connector body (5),
glands (8) and (9), and wire
mesh (2) from cable.
d.
Replace defective parts.
CAUTION
When installing both a
male and a female con-
nector on a length of
bulk cable, the
connectors must be
installed on particular
cable ends so that the
wire colors match the
connector pin/socket
positions as indicated
in paragraph 5-9a.
