Reporting Deficiencies. If you discover any problem with the equipment during PMCS that you are unable to
correct, it must be reported. Refer to DA Pam 738-750 and report the deficiency using the proper forms.

Generator Set Exterior
Inspect generator set for fuel and oil leaks, loose
or missing components and hardware, and
unusual wear or deterioration.

Fuel Strainer and Filters
NOTE
Fuel system must be above freezing
temperature when draining water
and sediment from strainer, filters,
and tank.
Open drains on fuel strainer, and primary and
secondary fuel filters. Drain water and sediment
into a suitable container. Allow to drain until fuel
runs clean.

Fuel Tanks
Open drains on main fuel tank and day tank. Drain
water and sediment into a suitable container. Allow
to drain until fuel runs clean.

Fuel Pumps
Clean or replace, as necessary, fuel strainer in
bottom of fuel pump.

Batteries
Perform a hydrometer test on batteries every
100 hours. Refer to TM 5-6115-457-12 or TM 5-
6115-600-12 for test procedures.
