Inspection and Testing.
Removal.
Shut down generator set.
Remove load output terminal board assembly from generator set, paragraph 2-103-1.
Tag and disconnect varistor leads, (11, FIGURE 2-29) from varistors (27).
Remove nuts (26), bolts (25), and varistors (27) from Ioad terminal board assembly (12).
Shut down generator set.
Remove varistors, paragraph 2-105-1.
Inspect varistors for obvious external damage.
Set multimeter for ohms and test each varistor by connecting multimeter to varistor terminals 1 and 2. Note multi-
meter indication.
Reverse multimeter leads and note multimeter indication.
Multimeter indications should be infinite ohms in both directions.
Varistors are defective and must be replaced if indications are other than above.
Install varistors, paragraph 2-105-3.
Installation.
Install varistors (27, FIGURE 2-29), on load output terminal board assembly (12) with bolts (25) and nuts (26).
Connect varistor leads (11) to varistors (27) and remove tags.
Install load output terminal board assembly in generator set, paragraph 2-103-4.

Testing.
Shut down generator set.
Open battery access door and disconnect negative battery cable.
Open left side engine access doors.
Tag and disconnect electrical leads from low oil pressure switch (1, FIGURE 2-30).
Set multimeter for ohms and connect across switch connector pins C and NO. Multimeter shall indicate open
circuit.
Connect multimeter across switch connector pins C and NC. Multimeter shall indicate continuity.
Connect negative battery cable.
