REMOVAL
1.
Turn heater and generator off.
2.
Open battery access door and disconnect negative battery cable from right battery and the positive battery cable from the
left battery before doing the following procedures.
3.
Drain generator coolant system in accordance with TM 9-6115-644-24.
4.
Open control panel access door (8), Figure 4-35.
5.
Using a pin removal tool, remove electrical leads from J6-24, 18, and 16 in accordance with wiring diagram,

Remove control unit, (1), Figure 4-37, from output box (2). Replace existing hardware: flatwasher (3), lockwasher (4),
and bolt (5).
