6.6. TAPPETS.

INITIAL SETUP

Equipment Conditions
Cylinder head removed (para 6.5.).
Materials/Parts
Tappets
Lubricating Oil
(Items 10-13, Appendix F)
REPLACE
a. Remove tappets (2, Figure 6-3) from crankcase by hand and discard.
b. Apply a thin layer of oil to each new tappet (2).
c. Replace tappets (2) by hand in the same order they were removed.

CAUTION
Mark each cylinder (1) and tappet (2) to prevent
interchanging tappets upon replacement.
