4.21. ENGINE COOLANT DRAIN VALVE.

Engine stopped and allowed to cool completely.
MASTER ON-OFF switch on APU controller set to
OFF.
Materials/Parts
Engine Coolant Drain Valve
Sealing Compound
(Item 18, Appendix F)
Coolant drained (para 4.19.).
REPLACE
a. Remove coolant drain valve (2, Figure 4-8) by turning ccw.
b. Clean all old sealing compound from threads in engine drain hole (1).
c. Apply sealing compound to threads on coolant drain valve (2).
d. Install new drain valve (2) by turning cw.
