d. Close clamp (7) and tighten wing nut (1).
e. Close right side engine access doors.

Removal.
Shut down generator set.
Open battery access door and disconnect negative battery cable.
Open right side engine access doors.
Tag and disconnect ether solenoid valve (14, FIGURE 2-27) electrical leads.
Remove tube assembly (8) from ether solenoid valve (14) and spray nozzle (9).
Remove ether cylinder (2) from ether solenoid valve (14), paragraph 2-94-1.
Remove nuts (1 0), Iockwashers (11 ), bolts (1 2), washers (1 3), and ether solenoid valve (14) from generator set
housing.
Remove spray nozzle (9) from engine intake manifold.
Inspection.
Shut down generator set.
Remove ether solenoid valve, paragraph 2-95-1.
Inspect solenoid valve for cracks, corrosion, damaged threads, evidence of shorting, or other damage.
Inspect tube assembly for cracks, breaks, pinching, damaged threads, or other damage.
Inspect nozzle for cracks, corrosion, clogging, or other damaged.
Replace any defective parts.
Install ether solenoid valve, paragraph 2-95-3.
Installation.
Install ether solenoid valve(14, FIGURE 2-27) on generator set housing with bolts (12), washers (13),
Iockwashers (11), and nuts (10).
Install ether cylinder (2) into ether solenoid valve (14), paragraph 2-94-3.
Install spray nozzle (9) in engine intake manifold.
Install tube assembly (8) to ether solenoid valve (14) and spray nozzle (9).
Connect electrical leads, remove tags, and close right side engine access doors.
Connect negative battery cable and close battery access door.
