Testing.
Shut down generator set.
Open left side engine access door and disconnect negative battery cable.
Lower control panel and remove fuse (15, Figure 2-11).
Set multimeter for ohms and check for continuity across fuse.
If continuity exists, fuse is good. Otherwise fuse is bad and must be replaced.
Install fuse (15), raise and secure control panel.
Connect negative battery cable and close access door.
Removal.
Shut down generator set.
Open left side engine access door and disconnect negative battery cable.
Remove control box top panel, paragraph 2-16-1.
Remove cap (14, Figure 2-11) and fuse (15).
Tag and disconnect fuse holder (17) electrical leads.
Remove hex nut (16) and fuse holder (17).
Installation.
Install fuse holder (17, Figure 2-11) and secure with nut (16).
Connect electrical leads and remove tags.
Install fuse (15) and cap (14).
Install control box top panel, paragraph 2-16-4.
Connect negative battery cable and close access door.
2-26. DC CONTROL POWER CIRCUIT BREAKER.
2-26-1. Inspection.

Shut down generator set.

Release control panel by turning two fasteners and lower control panel slowly.
c.
Inspect DC CONTROL POWER circuit breaker for cracks, loose mounting, corrosion, and other damage.

Raise and secure control panel.

Shut down generator set.
Open left side engine access door and disconnect negative battery cable.
Release control panel by turning two fasteners and lower control paneI slowly.
Tag and disconnect DC CONTROL POWER circuit breaker (19, Figure 2-11 ) electrical leads.
Place circuit breaker in OPEN position.
Set multimeter for ohms and connect across circuit breaker terminals. Multimeter should indicate open circuit.
Place circuit breaker in the CLOSED position. Multimeter should indicate continuity.
Replace circuit breaker if indications are not as above.
Connect electrical leads to circuit breaker (19) and remove tags.
Raise and secure control panel.
