3-1. General
Lubrication Instructions
This section contains lubrication instructions which
are supplement to, and not specifically covered in the
operator/crew portion of lubrication instructions.
3-2. Detailed
Lubrication Information
a. General. Keep all lubricants in closed containers
and store in a clean, dry place away from external
heat. Do not allow any dust, dirt or foreign matter to
come in contact with lubricants.
b. Cleaning. Keep all external parts that do require
lubrication free of lubricants. Before lubricating the
equipment, wipe all lubrication points free of dirt and
grease. Clean all lubrication points after lubricating to
prevent accumulation of foreign matter.
c. Points of Lubrication. Service the lubrication
points at proper intervals as illustrated on the lubrica-
tion instructions (Fig. 3-1).
