water, wash with fresh water.
b. Paint exposed metallic surfaces if paint has been
chipped off or otherwise removed. Coat exposed fer-
rous metal surfaces with a standard issue rustproofing
material if available, or cover parts with a light film
of grease.
2-10. Operation at High Altitudes
a. Engine power output will decrease at a rate of
3 precent for each 1000-foot increase in elevation
above sea level. The generator output will decrease
accordingly as engine output decreases.
b. Maintain maximum performance by following
all service instructions carefully. Be sure the oil in the
air cleaner is not dirty.
