Remove nuts (30, Fig. 22-6), washers (29
and 31), capscrews (27), and beveled washers (28) that
secure generator set to trailer.
(4)
Remove generator set from trailer.
b.
Installation. Installation is reverse of removal
procedure a above. Make sure that the beveled
washers (28) are properly positioned so that generator
set is securely mounted to the trailer body.
22-13. Distribution Box
a.
Removal.
(1)
Disconnect the load lines at the generator
sets and the ground wires at the ground stud (16,
Fig. 22-8) on the distribution box bracket (10). Loosen
cable clamps so that cables will be removed with
distribution box.
(2)
Remove nuts (13), washers (12),
stiffeners (22), and capscrews (11) that secure bracket
to trailer bed and remove distribution box with cables.
b.
Disassembly.
(1)
Remove screws (47) and washers (48 and
49) and remove cover and gasket (45) from box.
(2)
Disconnect and tag interval wiring at
switch and indicator lights.
(3)
Remove knob from switch.
(4)
Remove nuts (29), washers (28), and
screws (27) with "O" rings (30) and remove switch (43)
and "O" ring (46) from box.
(5)
To remove bracket from box, remove nuts
(9) and washers (8) and separate bracket from box.
(6)
To remove terminal board (22), remove
nuts (36), washers (34 and 35), and machine screws
(33), and separate
