21-10. Distribution Box
a.
Removal.
(1)
Disconnect load lines from the generators
and loosen cable clamps so that cables will be removed
with distribution box.
(2)
Disconnect ground wire to trailer terminal
stud.
(3)
Remove nuts and washers that secure
distribution box to trailer fender and remove box and
cables.
b.
Disassembly. Refer to figure 21-4 and
disassemble the distribution box components. Tag the
cable ends for proper reassembly.
c.
Reassembly.
Reassembly
is
reverse
of
disassembly procedure b above. Make sure "O" rings
are properly installed to prevent water entering around
the switch and screws.
d.
Installation. Installation is reverse of removal
procedure a above. Refer to figure 21-3 to assure that
electrical load cables are properly connected.
21-11. Trailer Body
a.
Removal.
(1)
Remove tarpaulin and bows.
(2)
Remove fuel cans and holders.
(3)
Disconnect exhaust line and remove
generators (para 3-9).
(4)
Remove distribution box (para 3-10).
(5)
Remove nuts, washers, and bolts, and
capscrews that secure trailer body to chassis and
remove body.
b.
Installation. Using a serviceable trailer body,
reverse removal procedure a above. Apply touch-up
paint to securing hardware after complete reassembly.
