DEFINITION OF UNUSUAL TERMS
Branch circuit:
The portion of an electrical circuit that
extends beyond the final current protection
device (circuit breaker).
Continuity:
A continuous path for the flow of current
in an electrical circuit.
Distribution system:
Electrical cables and controls between the
feeder system and the user’s equipment.
Drop:
The terminating line of a T-connection on a
branch circuit cable.
