LEVELS OF MAINTENANCE.

(A) Army users shall refer to the Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC) for tasks and levels of maintenance to be
performed.

(MC) Marine Corps users shall refer to the Source, Maintenance and Recoverability (SMR) Codes for maintenance
to be performed.

CORROSION PREVENTION AND CONTROL.

DESTRUCTION OF ARMY MATERIEL TO PREVENT ENEMY USE.
Destruction of the generator set to prevent enemy use shall be in accordance with TM 750-244-3.

1.12
GENERAL.
The generator set, models MEP-806B and MEP-816B (Figure 1-1) are fully enclosed, self-contained, skid-
mounted, portable units. They are equipped with controls, instruments, and accessories necessary for operation as
single units or in parallel with another unit of the same class and mode. The generator sets include a diesel engine,
brushless generator, excitation system, speed governing system, fuel system, 24 VDC starting system, DCS, and
fault system.
