Shut down generator
set, paragraph 2-9.2.
Open air cleaner
access door (rear of
generator set).
Loosen wing nut (1)
and remove end cap
(2) on air cleaner
housing (5).
Remove wing nut (3)
and air cleaner
element (4). If
fouled, discard air
cleaner element.
Inspect inside of air
cleaner housing (5)
for debris.
Wipe
housing interior with
clean lint-free cloth
(Item 1, Appendix D).
Install air cleaner
element (4), wing nut
(3), end cap (2) and
hand tighten wing nut
(1).
Close air cleaner
access door.

dirt, leaves,
insects, etc.
blocking air flow.
Check radiator and
hoses for leaks,
loose connections,
loose mountings,
corrosion, chafing,
and missing parts.
Check coolant level
at coolant recovery
(overflow) bottle.
Close both engine
access doors.
