1.8 GENERAL.
The generator sets, models MEP-804A and MEP-814A, (FIGURE 1-1) are fully enclosed, self-contained, skid-
mounted, portable units. They are equipped with controls, instruments, and accessories necessary for operation as single
units or in parallel with another unit of the same class and mode. The generator sets consist of a diesel engine, brushless
generator, excitation system, speed governing system, fuel system, 24 VDC starting system, control system, and fault
system.
