Weld minor cracks or breaks in the bows
or leg prop. Straighten bent bows where possible.
Replace defective or missing hardware. Replace bows
or leg prop that are damaged beyond repair.

Installation. Install tarpaulin, roof bows, and leg
prop (para 16-8).

Trailer Bed
a.
Removal.
(1)
Remove tarpaulin, roof bows, and leg prop
(para 16-8).
(2) Remove the generator set (para 16-10).
(3)
Loosen straps and remove auxiliary fuel
cans from trailer.
(4)
Remove 8 bolts from the top surface of
the trailer bed and 12 bolts from the underside that
secure the gussets to the trailer.
(5)
Disconnect the electrical leads from the
trailer lights.
(6)
Remove the trailer bed from the trailer.
b.
Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair.
(1)
Clean trailer bed with approved
cleaning solvent and dry.
(2)
Inspect for broken welds, bends, and
dents, and any other damage that prevents proper
assembly of the unit.
(3)
Weld cracks and breaks, and
straighten dents and bends where possible.
(4)
Replace a trailer bed that is damaged
beyond repair.
c.
Installation.
(1)
Install the trailer bed on the trailer and
secure in position with 12 bolts on the underside and 8
bolts on the top.
(2)
Connect wiring to trailer lights.
(3) Install the generator set (para 16-10).
(4)
Install auxiliary fuel cans on trailer and
secure with straps.
(5)
Install leg prop, roof bows, and tarpaulin
(para 16-11).
