WARNING
Disconnect negative battery cable from right battery and the positive
battery cable from the left battery before doing the following
procedures. Failure to observe this warning could result in severe
personal injury or death.
INSPECTION
Check thermostat assembly, Figure 4-34, for damaged housing or break in wires.
TEST
Perform continuity check of thermostat. If temperature is above -2C/28F, check for open circuit. If temperature is
below -7C/19.4F, check for closed circuit.
REPLACEMENT
Replace thermostat if housing is damaged, if breaks in wires are evident, or if continuity checks fail.
Substitute new thermostat with wires connected to TB-7 Pin 8 and Pin 9 for the defective one.
