This fault code indicates that the ECM has detected an internal power supply or memory problem
that can not be repaired.
SYMPTOM

MALFUNCTION
ECM Self Test.
FMI 12 - Failed Component.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
STEP 1.
If the ECM fails Self Test, replace ECM (WP 0082).
STEP 2.
Load correct flash file into ECM (WP 0013, SYMPTOM 9).
STEP 3.
Verify the ECM passes Self Test.
