3.7. RADIATOR CAP.

Engine stopped and allowed to cool completely.
Materials/Parts
Radiator Cap
MASTER ON-OFF switch on APU controller set to
OFF.
REPLACE
a. Turn radiator cap (1, Figure 3-3) one quarter turn ccw and allow any excess pressure to
escape.
b. Remove cap (1) by pushing down and turning ccw; pull up and pull off (1).
c. Install cap (1) on radiator (2) and secure by pushing down and turning clockwise (cw).
WARNING
Hot coolant is under pressure. Do not remove
radiator cap when engine is hot. Allow engine to cool
completely before removing radiator cap. Once
cooling has occurred, loosen cap slightly to relieve
any excess pressure before removing the cap
completely. Failure to heed this warning could result
in burns or injury to personnel.
