TROUBLESHOOTING USING GSC FAULT CODES - Continued
CID 442 FMI 12
FMI 12 - Failed Component.
Turn the ENGINE CONTROL switch to OFF/RESET. Battery Disconnect Switch
is OFF; DEAD CRANK SWITCH is OFF.
Remove fuse A1F5 from rear of GSC.
Check fuse A1F5.
a. If fuse is bad, replace fuse A1F5.
b. If fuse is good, repair or replace wiring harness (WP 0090), as necessary.
If wiring is good, proceed to the next step.
Disconnect wire(s) from GSC relay module A1-22 per FO-4, sheet 5.
Set Battery Disconnect Switch to ON, Set DEAD CRANK SWITCH to NORMAL.
Turn the ENGINE CONTROL switch to COOL DOWN/STOP.
Push in PUSH TO STOP EMERGENCY STOP pushbutton.
Measure resistance between A1-7 and A1-22. If resistance is not less than 5
ohms or not greater than 5,000 ohms measured in STEP 5, check all GSC fuses
(FO-4, Sheets 3 and 5).
If GSC fuses are ok, replace GSC (WP 0040).
Reinstall fuse A1F5 and reconnect wire(s) to GSC A1-22.
Verify the problem has been resolved.
